Where Does Bad Management Come From?

I'm not a management consultant. I have no management experience. I speak from intuition. Bad management comes from stressed-out people. Bad management is the symptom from stressed-out people; in other words, stressed-out people cause bad managers.

Stress is one of many causes of bad managers. Another possibility is rough times outside the workplace. Bad managers dealing with family problems. Bad managers with chronic physical ailments. Bad managers tight on personal finances. Bad managers working too many hours. Long commutes, poor diets, lack of sleep, behind in responsibilities, and little leisure activities influence managers becoming bad. Outside influences can affect a bad manager such as the COVID-19 pandemic, climate change, the economy, and politics.

The workers are the punching bag. The workers are the stress relief. The workers are the receiving end of the managers releasing their anger, stress, fatigue, etc. The workers' tolerance is limited. Give it time. The workers respond appropriately quitting, requesting transfers, decreasing quality work, and/or informing the higher up management.

New And Old Uncontrolled Chaos

Blogger's Note: May is pic month. I'm catching up posting pics from my smart phone. Enjoy!

Efficient maintenance is important for all objects. Be professional to earn happiness. Nobody controls problems caused by nature. On the other hand, opening a business at a location with a small amount of foot traffic creates future problems.

I repeat the last life lesson I wrote in Life Lessons Learned Playing Mahjong Riichi written on Mar 18, 2016. The last life lesson is luck. Accept luck as part of the game. Accept bad draws with stride. Accept giving up riichies with stride. There are no reasons to lose temper. An international student from Japan told me professional players who finished last place multiple times consecutively stopped playing for the rest of the day.

Owners Hiring The Below Average Worker

I recently replaced my sagging headliner in my 2005 Toyota Camry. The headliner began to sag behind the back seats. There was sun damage on the back passenger side next to the window. The estimator said my headliner held up well considering the car is 18 years old. Total cost was $995.

I picked up my car with my dad's help. I raised my red flag immediately after paying $995. Nobody escorted us after I paid. We walked to my car without a worker. It was the first time nobody summarized the fix, nobody escorted the customer back to the car, and nobody communicated the repair process out of all auto repairs businesses. We inspected the car. We noticed a smell. I walked back to the building to get my questions answered. The same estimator answered our questions. In particular, the smell was temporary caused by the adhesive.

There were problems discovered two days later. The keyless fob didn't work. The dome lights didn't work. The clock reset to 1:00. I began troubleshooting. I researched online. The first solution was replace the battery. The three problems remained. The second solution was identify broken fuses. The fuse responsible for the three problems broke.

I contacted the auto interior shop. The shop agreed to replace the fuse and fix the problem causing the electrical shortage. The problem was a wire on the driver's side vanity mirror pinched. The technician assigned to my car was a slow communicator. Moreover, the front desk employee had unprofessional behavior for which my blue-collar expectations were low.

My intuition tells me the owner of the auto interior shop hired B-rated technicians. The technicians are second-rated. The technicians service autos slower. The technicians need a second chance in life. I give business owners and managers respect for giving opportunities to people who can't get a break.

Daily Life Discoveries

No need to be cautious driving at closed retail buildings. Be cautious pumping gas from a slow pump and placing objects in front of a window on a sunny day. Wear gloves to protect our hands from cautious harm. We need sanitizers because we can't wear gloves all the time. Men must keep their important body parts clean without using sanitizers and comfortable for wearing underwear. Costs are increasing for pizzas and new traffic lights.
