I'm Tired Stepping Up Making Other People Feel Comfortable

Blogger's note: Today's blog is posted at both Innovating Common Knowledge and Finding Raymond Mar.

The title speaks for itself. Also, I'm tired of being at the short end of the stick too many times. If people want to make me happy, then do better yourselves. Unfortunately, many people lack motivation. It's okay to be angry. Angry is a valid feeling. Angry people don't act like jerks. There are boundaries.

A Daily Dose Of Novocain

Today's Information Age we get any information on the internet in seconds. Too much information is available in seconds. Easy access. News feeds are 24/7. Information feeds are 24/7. Social media feeds are 24/7. 98% of all feeds are garbage. Novocain is administered. Useless facts. Useless information. Nothing learned. Nothing improved. Moreover, dissatisfaction increases there is a desire for more information hoping to quell the dissatisfaction. Brain cells are destroyed. My IQ drops. The causality is too much Novocain. The Novocain habit I accidentally miss reading important news, information, and knowledge.

Reading is tiring. Additional mental energy is required to ignore the useless. Additional mental energy is required to stop reading. On the other hand, there are some people with more time on their hands they enjoy the useless. More power to them.

Update On A Past Blog

People who purchased shares from the blog Bet On The Real Raymond Mar Coming Soon written on Oct 4, 2014 should be happy. The stock price went up. Long term investing works. Buy and hold work.

I'm the best choice for many circumstances. I have been the best choice to get the job done. Unfortunately, there were too many barriers. Bad luck. Bad timing. I was told lies. People prevented me from being successful. Misinformation. Bad lessons. All are forgiven. I needed more time. I needed four years and 11 months to be specific. The naive, uncontrollable, and immature person is retired. Be patient.

The Real Raymond Mar Please Stand Up

I'm rising up. I'm a self-trained genius. My destiny card says I achieve freedom when I stand up and walk to the front of the stage. I become the real Raymond Mar. The real Raymond Mar stands up. He walks to the front of the stage. The fake Raymond Mars remain seated. The audience doesn't care for the fakes. The audience applauds for the real. It's the truth.

There are two sides in favor of me and against me. I play the personal objective card.

For The Real Raymond Mar

*Growing Up. I grew up on Sat Oct 4, 2008. I never wrote a dedicated blog detailing the day I grew up. I choose a similar blog I Choose Raymond Mar Today to represent the day which changed my life.

I include reading more fiction books than non-fiction books, learning strength training at bodybuilding.com, wearing new clothes, sleeping on a new mattress, accepting responsibility, and not taking life for granted as my immediate changes growing up.

*The Real Innovating Infinitely. I combine all learnings, new adventures, and new experiences. I include learning by drilling and practice by repetition. Life skills learned. Job skills acquired.

*Self-trained Genius. I'm one step closer to becoming a self-trained genius at the end of the day.

*Cooking. I know enough cooking skills to eat healthy meals. I minimize eating processed foods.

*Retired Hobbies. I'm retired from watching anime and playing video games. I'm playing classic video games three hours a week.

*I'm the healthiest I've ever been. I exercise four days a week. The last time I got sick was Oct 2018.

*Maintenance. I practice proper body bare necessities. My residence is cleaned. My car is maintained including oil changes and tire rotations.

Against The Real Raymond Mar

*The Real George Costanza. I'm unemployed. I live with my parents.

*Bad Luck. I experienced bad luck during job interviews. It's not a curse.

*Behind In Life. I'm behind in experience and knowledge. If there's a what a 40s-year-old man supposed to achieve, then I'm behind.

*Inherit Weakness. I have poor short-term memory. I can't trend water. I'm sensitive to heat. I'm partial tone deaf.

*Slow Reading. I'm a slow reader--not reading slow due to poor intelligence. However, for whatever reason, my speed and my comprehension have improved.

*July 1998-March 2007 Jobs. There were no transferrable skills working in the commercial real estate. The commercial real estate industry was my first jobs after I graduated college. Working in a retail start-up and working in data entry were pathetic. Working at Cisco was the best job experience.

*Unearned Successes. Most of my past successes including high school, college, and my first jobs were unearned. I was successful due to good luck, good timing, and good fortune. It was not my fault. I think of unearned success like an unearned run in baseball. It wasn't the pitcher's fault the run scored.

Update On A Past Blog

I wrote past blogs on Raymond Mar. Here are the past blogs with a brief description.

My Own Commentary On The Daily Life Of Raymond Mar written on Jul 31, 2013. I self-questioned and self-answered my daily life for which most of the answers were correct back then. They're incorrect today. I was dishonest for the most part. It was a bullshit blog.

The Myths Of Raymond Mar written on Jul 29, 2014. The four myths were correct back then. They're correct today. I was honest for one of the few days back in 2014. I still don't have a lot of friends. I'm retired from anime never being an anime expert. I still live with my parents. I still know and I still learn computers and technology.

Bet On The Real Raymond Mar Coming Soon written on Oct 4, 2014. The blog was written exactly six years ago when I realized I must grow up. I mentioned job searching, learning, having support, and believing in nothing to lose attitude. All of them are true today. People who bet on the real Raymond Mar is actually betting on Raymond Mar's big break.

Raymond Mar 2015-2019 Looking Better written on Jan 5, 2020. I posted a pic of myself between 2015 and 2019. I looked terrible between 2015 and 2017. I looked better in 2018 and 2019. I post a recent pic of myself for the purposes of today's blog. Fortunately, I look better as I get older.

I Choose Raymond Mar Today written on Apr 9, 2020. I rejected my past self which is the correct answer. I'm getting better. I honestly say I choose myself today.

Influence Another Person

I live a crappy life. My life changed forever on Sat Oct 4, 2008 when I realized I must grow up. I correct some mistakes. I catch up what I missed in my 20s. I seek new adventures. I experience new experiences. I earn my successes. I work for happiness. Motivation is high. Never stop learning. Never stop innovating. Innovate infinitely. If I die tomorrow, then I die as a mature adult. Fewer regrets. My obituary is better today than any day before Sat Oct 4, 2008.

On the other hand, did I influence another person? Did I change another person? Did I save a person's life? I feel I owe the world. I'm in debt to the world because there are people who influenced me; moreover, I remove people who influenced me in the past for which their influence was wrong. The people and the world saved me for whatever reason God only knows. I appreciate their help.

I hope I influence another person before I die. I change another person. I save a person's life. I make a difference to one person. I die with no debts. I die a less than crappy life. My obligation is fulfilled.

Delayed Equalizer

The COVID-19 global pandemic continues. Every day people are vaccinated. We hope for global herd immunity because people are tired living the pandemic life. What is the COVID-19 post-pandemic life? Your guess is as good as mine. Time will tell.

I have one guess. The post-pandemic life is closer to balance. COVID-19 is the equalizer. The equalizing is delayed. The equalizing is deferred. Be patient. I believe more people are impacted. Give it time. More balance is coming. The financial markets say otherwise there's no global recession. The economy news says less people are impacted; for example, fewer job losses are reported. I believe the COVID-19 economic slowdown impacted more people than reported. Is inflation the equalizer? Time will tell.

We hear the good news. There is still good news. Almost everyone shares the good moments on social media. We don't hear the bad news. There is still bad news. Almost nobody shares bad moments on social media. People who don't deserve the good life lose the good life. People who don't deserve the bad life hard work pays off. We see the fallout when life goes back to normal. The truth is revealed.

San Jose State University Spartans 2020 Mountain West Champions

Congratulations to my alma mater San Jose State University (SJSU) Spartans football team for winning their first conference championship title defeating the Boise State Broncos 34-20 on Sat Dec 19. It was their first appearance in the Mountain West Conference Championship game. The team takes their undefeated 7-0 record to the Arizona Bowl against the Ball State Cardinals on Thur Dec 31. Ball State is the 2020 Mid-American Conference champions. I summarize their global pandemic shorten season and the highlights below.

*The 6-0 record entering the championship game was their first 6-0 since 1939.

*Quarterback Nick Starkel is a graduate transfer from Arkansas. He passed for 453 yards and threw for three touchdowns. The 453 years is a championship game record. The offense averaged 6.5 yards per play.

*Boise State's offense scored 36.2 points per game which was the highest in 2020. Their defense gave up 169 passing yards per game which was the lowest in 2020.

*SJSU defense held Boise State to 12 yards rushing and 233 yards total.

*The game was televised nationally on FOX. Good national exposure.

*SJSU place kicker Matt Mercurio made four fields goals in the second quarter. He tied an NCAA record and became the fifth player to kick four field goals in one quarter.

*SJSU all-time record against Boise State was 0-15 entering the championship game. One can say getting the first win in a championship game was good timing.

*SJSU practiced at Humboldt State University 300 miles north because of the COVID-19 county restrictions in the middle of the Fall 2020 semester. The county prohibited sport teams from practicing. Also, SJSU practiced in Las Vegas at Sam Boyd Stadium as their temporary home for the championship game. The team with the best record hosts the championship game.

The time away from home the Spartans bounded. Special connections were formed. They became tight knit. The team focused more on football because they had little free time.

*The team slogan is "Climb The Mountain."

*The teams defeated Air Force, San Diego State, and Hawaii. These three are well known in the conference.

*Boise State and rivalry Fresno State games were cancelled due to COVID-19.

*Boise State has the most wins, most rankings in the AP Top 25, and most conference championships.

*SJSU's record in 2018 was 1-11 and in 2019 was 5-7.

*SJSU was picked to finished 10 out of 12 in the shorten season which started in late Oct.

*Head coach Brent Brennan said one scrimmage in 2019 the players clicked. They got it. They understood it. The players combined speed, physicality, and precision he never saw. Physical maturity displayed. Mental focus established.

*The SJSU football team released a video on their Twitter account @SanJoseStateFB singing Lean On Me. The viewer watches family closeness, trust, and genuine teamwork.

*Brennan agreed to a contract extension through 2023. He is the 2020 Mountain West Football Coach of the Year and a finalist for multiple national Coach of the Year honors.

The Reader Takes Something Away With These Pics

Blogger's Note: May is pic month. I'm catching up posting pics from my smart phone. Enjoy!

Past architecture buildings and signs are remembered in time. Everyone must share their favorite music genres. All music is music. Ignorance is bliss. There is a safety reason never hide electrical outlets. Take advantage of retail deals. People can be winners losing more than winning. Today's COVID-19 is a reminder we take the outdoors for granted. On the other hand, some retail deals are terrible.

Where Is The Intelligence?

Either I'm getting smarter or the people are getting dumber. The people in my life are regressing. I'm progressing. The people in my life become content. I'm not ready to settle. Or all of the above.

There is another possibility. My brain is transforming to become a genius. I'm one step closer to become a self-trained genius. I admit its scary. I also admit the people who know me should be concerned. To quote Steve Jobs, "Life can be much broader once you discover one simple fact, and that is everything around you that you call life was made up by people that were no smarter than you, and you can change it, you can influence it, you can build your own things that other people can use. Um, once you learn that, you’ll never be the same again."

Update On A Past Blog

I realize the opposite of You're Smarter Than You Think is true. There are people who realize they're not smart. A mistake is committed. A task is unsuccessful. The post-evaluation is ignorance. I'm not smart enough. Further, there are people I thought they're smart. I'm incorrect. They're not as smart as I thought they are. They may be regressing or losing intelligence. The definition of a smart person is subjective. I wrote the blog on Nov 7, 2018.

Another Perspective On Quiet People

The most common judgments when we see quiet people are shyness, socially awkward, poor communicator, and uncomfortable in a setting. More common judgments when we see quiet people are fatigue, experiencing a bad day, and feeling anti-social.

I share another perspective why people are quiet. I share another perspective why people avoid small talk. Please don't talk to me at the checkout line, waiting room, or getting a haircut. We're not anti-social. We have good communication skills. We're currently uninterested in the present subject. Quiet people are in deep thought. Their brains are thinking about work, family, schedules, tonight's meal, problems, and/or solutions. Priorities are priorities which must be completed. Sometimes priorities are urgent quiet people ignores surrounding communication. The timing to speak is bad.

Another perspective quiet people hide their faults. Everyone has secrets. There are secrets nobody knows. We keep our shortcomings ourselves for fear of embarrassment, ridicule, or criticism. Quiet people are observing. Hall Of Fame Baseball player Yogi Berra said the following, "You can learn a lot by observing." Quiet people have nothing to say. Plato said the following, "Wise men talk because they have something to say; fools talk because they have to say something." Finally, quiet people can't talk because their mouth has Novocain from a tooth filling.

Throwback Blog: Never Give Up Finding The Ultimate Happiness

Blogger’s Note: Throwback blogs are blogs from my past. I start posting past blogs reflecting what I wrote. It's like my "A Second Look" blogs for which I give myself feedback.

Today's throwback blog is titled Never Give Up Finding The Ultimate Happiness in Apr 2015. The ultimate happiness is being married to the love of your life. It's hard to find love. There are parts of finding love you can't control. Trust life whether it's fate, destiny, karma, good timing, and good luck you succeed. Take a chance. It's worth the potential happiness and joy. It's worth potential pain and suffering.

Finally, watch the movie La La Land.

I believe the ultimate happiness is being in love with another person. There is no substitute for another human sharing a bed every night. Goods, material objects, any experiences, and a live non-human are not substitutes. A lover is flesh and blood with a human body, an independent thinker, and an individual soul. He or she has a heart to soothe, arms to hug, ears to listen, mouth to communicate, eyes to see, tongue for sex, and an entire body for warmth. A couple laughs, experience new experiences, find new adventures, create memories, converse about everything life, share different thoughts to learn, and grow old. A couple is victorious in good times and challenged in bad times. Courage, strength, dedication, and openness are required for a long term relationship to last indefinitely.

The difficulty finding love is as it should because choosing to spend the rest of your life with another person is an important choice. Almost all of us experience break-ups before finding our lover. It's part of finding love. Devoting time, making mistakes, and improving oneself are also part of finding love. Couples must earn their respect, appreciation, and trust.

Two potential lovers make eye contact with timing and luck being at the right place at the right time. One of them takes the initiative for the first greeting. Never lose hope. There are lots of people in the world. Don't quit finding love. Don't remove yourself from the world. One person is a match for another person. Continue living life to the fullest single people. Do something, anything to be a better person. The better person shares more stories and experiences. Attract people. Get smarter, stronger, kinder, and wiser indefinitely.

We have one opportunity to obtain the ultimate happiness. Work on it. Don't take the ultimate happiness for granted.

I'm Excited Every Daytime

I'm job searching looking for full time employment. I job search two times per day five days a week. I stopped job searching on Sun's because it saved a little time job searching Mon afternoons. No more job searching six days a week.

Job searching is a full time job. I job train when I'm not job searching. I have been job training since I became unemployed. Job training includes reviewing my existing job skills and learning new job skills. Job training keeps my confidence high I'm ready to begin working on day one. I reviewed Excel, Access, and SQL twice. I reviewed PowerPoint, Salesforce (SFDC), and basic statistics. I learned Oracle, Tableau, Agile, dashboards, forecasting, and VBA. I lost my excitement job training because there was nothing more to learn related to my profession. I could review PowerPoint, SFDC, and Oracle again. I believed the second review was a waste of time. It was like studying for an exam. I studied the material. I understand the material. There was no point over-studying. The job knowledge comes back to me when I start working. The best time to review is when I actually start doing it again.

I'm excited again because I'm learning Python for the second time. I learned Python for the first time in Sep 2014. I'm also learning Linux and how to build a webpage. I'm running Ubuntu for Linux and Python. I'm using Sublime Text to write Python code and HTML code. I learn Python and Linux Mon to Fri. I learn building webpages on Sat. Sun is my day off. I have a webpage Innovate Infinitely I recently revised. I admit the old Innovate Infinitely webpage was crap. I'm looking forward to improve Innovate Infinitely learning HTML5 and CSS. I hope all of the job training from reviewing Excel to learning Python helps me get my next job. I'm excited!

Independence

This is it. One of my life manifesto is live an independent live moving out of my parent's house. My mind, body, and spirit have the desire to get out. I want to leave the nest. I break the life restriction glass with a carbide tip window piercer. I'm a smart and wise adult making mature choices. I'm a strong adult who wants more control of my life. I'm a kind adult who wants more circle of friends.

I continue working hard doing my best. I job search seven days a week. I self-learn new job skills seven days a week. I'm currently learning more Salesforce and more data analysis. I learned standard deviation, forecasting, and dashboards. I reviewed Excel, Access, and SQL. I workout four days a week at the gym. I have nothing to lose. I have everything to gain working hard for independence.

I accept job offers paying a minimum to live independently. Long term contract jobs are accepted. I'm not settling on short term contracts. I refuse below market hourly rates. It's a risk to refuse short term contract offers because my resume gap increases. I've seen an increase in hourly rates. I have faith the job with good pay permanent or long term contract is my match. I worry about the discretionary costs such as leisure later. The present moment is earning money to pay rent, gas, groceries, and bare necessities.

My life reaches big heights I never reached before in time. I'm looking for one perfect day to get the job to move out of my parent's house. Thereafter, I look for more perfect days because the sky's the limit reaching new heights.

What's A Risk I'm Taking?

I feel a sense of urgency. It's time to open up. It's time to be brave. My risk I'm taking is being aggressive when I interview for a job. I'm currently job searching. I interviewed for one job since May 1. I'm unsatisfied. It's time to sell myself. It's time to communicate my strengths, my goals, my sincerity, and my heart. My interview is a conversation instead of a Q&A. I take charge of the interview; however, I keep my composure and modestly. My next interview I feel different. I experience new feelings. If I'm going to mess up an interview, I mess up my way. I have nothing to lose performing my best. I should be performing my best at everything. It's a new performance.

What was holding me back? I was too modest. I was afraid saying the wrong answers. There are no right and wrong answers. The purpose of interviews is a match between the job candidate and the company. I'm a professional good worker; however, I'm not a match at company A, B, and C. On the other hand, I'm hired at company G.

My goal is find work. My goal is to start my life again. My life is on pause. I'm tired of pausing my life. I want my life to move forward indefinitely.

What If I Have One Million Dollars?

My answer to the question is continuing faith in humanity. There are people who need help. Most of these people live honest lives. Most of these people live good lives. Most of these people are doing their best. Most of these people need a break. I want to help these people. I use all my million dollars to help people. Help an organization repair their transportation trucks. Give money to a street vendor trying to make ends meet. Tip 200% to a server down on his or her luck. Anonymous surprise donations. Buy groceries to needy families. We're human beings. I behave a good human being helping other people. There is faith in humanity. The faith keeps the good. The world continues without ending.

I'm happy living modestly. A reasonable size residence requiring one hour to vacuum, to dust, to clean the bathrooms, and to mop the floors. A reliable car with low maintenance costs. A decent set of clothes without breaking my bank account. No worries about too many material objects because I forbid hoarding. Most of my leisure life involves reduced costs.

I use my money to create action. I use my money to show appreciation to people helping me.

Side note: Watch the miracle on 6 train on YouTube. I want to be the giving person. No video recording me necessary. I give. I leave.

More Random Jeopardy Answers

I thought of more questions from yesterday's blog. The random jeopardy blog idea came from The Costco Connection magazine interviewing Ken Jennings. These questions are good job interview questions.

His life changed permanently when he realized he must grow up on Sat Oct 4, 2008. He did his best catching up from his missing youth. He did his best becoming a better human being. Dependable, professional, and innovating his life. He was a good listener. He was a good guy. He was an open person; in particular, open to try something new. He listened to music, worked out at the gym, and read books. It was rare you need to tell him what to do and when to do it.

Raymond past away living a good life. He should be proud he died as a mature adult. He slipped through the cracks in school and in his early career. He stopped taking life for granted. He stopped taking life too lightly. He learned life lessons, experienced new experiences, and found new adventures some people never experienced in their lifetime. His presence assured stability in a group of people.

His favorite quotes were the following: Never stop innovating life; get up and do something, anything; and see ya around.

If I died tomorrow, how do I want to be remembered?

I'm a strong person. I'm getting stronger. I'm getting smarter, kinder, and wiser. Sometimes I hold back which I admit is a weakness. I'm working hard to stop holding back. 2015 is the year to open myself up to another level; in other words, pursue experiences and adventures outside my comfort zone. Do something new without worrying about success and failure.

I'm more sociable than most people believe. I'm a sucker for long conversations because I learn about the people and learn about life from the trivial to the serious philosophical discussion. I become interested in others.

Live my life to my fullest. Never stop learning. I believe the harder I work, the easier life becomes. The fun, the rewards, the successes, and the satisfaction are coming soon. I must be patient.

What is (or are) the misunderstood parts of who I am?

The most successful worker in a company masters the CCCP. Control, Consistency, Choices, and Proactive. A successful worker has control in his or her responsibilities and his or her environment. The worker becomes stronger and respected with more control. A successful worker consistently improves his or her performance. The output, efficiently, skills, and knowledge get better year after year. There are no same results year after year. The results are better and more impressive.

A successful worker makes good choices. He or she does the research, learns the back story, and requests assistance. He or she has the power to make choices to contribute to a growing successful company. And a successful worker is proactive seeking solutions to problems, creating new ideas, and assisting his or her team. Proactive means positive. There's always a solution. Proactive also means professional response. He or she never needs to be told what to do and when to complete the assignment. Obviously, training and management are an influence for workers to be proactive.

What is my job formula for success?

Bet On The Real Raymond Mar Coming Soon

I blogged Finding The Missing Pieces I must find to be successful on Wed Sep 24. The missing pieces are finding new friends, learning more job skills, living independent or moving out, consistent physical workouts, and finding a job. The real Raymond Mar appears when I find the five missing pieces. The world has one more strong and successful human being.

Most of the world believes the old Raymond Mar exists. The old Raymond Mar before I realized I must grow up on Sat Oct 4, 2008 or the old Raymond Mar before I realized I must work harder on Sep 2013. I need to make everything right. I still have mistakes to correct. I must prove to myself and prove to the world the real Raymond Mar exists. He's no longer the naive, uncontrollable, and immature person. I can be trusted. I can help people.

My typical weekday includes job searching, learning Python, learning MySQL, reviewing SQL, going to the gym, and housework. My typical weekend includes spending less time job searching, learning Python, learning MySQL, and reviewing SQL. Also, I find time relaxing on the weekend. For example, I watch football on Sun. I find time throughout the week writing blogs. Mon is the best day to run personal errands. My Fri night is spent socializing with my friends. My Sat night is a free night I'm open to anything.

I have support. I have goals. I have nothing to lose. If I do nothing, then I'm nothing. I'm somebody. I must do something, anything because I want to live a life. I'm strong. I have courage. I believe in myself. The world waits patiently. The real Raymond Mar is coming soon.

What Is Innovate Infinitely?

Innovate Infinitely means never stop innovating life. Always get better. Always be better. Do something better continuously. Do them infinitely. There is always a better way. Always.

I created Innovate Infinitely driving to Japantown in San Jose in 2000. I was waiting for a green light on Taylor St. I wanted to create a theme for my webpage which tells my belief to never stop improving. The words "Innovate" and "Infinitely" came together in my mind.

Today In Year 2014

Why am I still living at home? Why am I working at a low paying job? Why do I have a smaller circle of friends today? I experienced setbacks such as losing my job at Cisco in 2008 and long-term unemployment after graduating at De Anza in 2011; however, I found a new job to restart my life. What happened?

My partial answers are I'm still weak, I need more life experience, and I need more wisdom. I'm holding back. Why? Timing and luck are factors in success. They're going somewhere else. Furthermore, I need more focus and direction. I'm completing odds and ends tasks lingering for months. I'm retired from anime. The next projects are looking at the job market and learning new job skills. I'm becoming a professional.

I have no long-term solutions. I need more strength and opportunities. I need more time to awake my ultimate hidden beast. I achieve my ultimate innovating my life infinitely soon. There is no conclusion in today's blog because I don't have a conclusion--I don't have absolute answers.
