Accutane Day 5,607

New freckles or life marks appear on my face. Life marks is a common slang. They're hard to see in the quick on-the-fly selfie. Some existing bumps or brown colored scars are growing in size. The bumps are prominent on both sides of my face between the ears and eyes. I hate them. I live with them in the meantime. I want treatment. I wait for full medical coverage. There must be new treatments today compared to 2009. I hope the new treatments reduce pimples and blackheads for which they still appear.

I use Burt's Bee lip balm when I jog outside. I don't remember the last time I applied facial cream to my face after the Accutane Day 4,336 blog written on Jan 2, 2021.

I like my egg shaped face today compared to the rounder face in Mar 2009. I look better smile or no smile.

Ten Random Blogs Apr 2023

Here are ten random blogs in order of randomly chosen. Duplicate blogs are allowed from past Ten Random Blogs. There are no duplicates today. The previous random blogs are Ten Random Blogs Jul 2020 on Jul 31, 2020 and Ten Random Blogs Aug 2021 on Aug 13, 2021. Update remarks are included.

1. Free Your Mind (Sep 02, 2010). An anime conversation is an example of people with different likes and different dislikes. One person likes an anime series. Another person dislikes the same anime series. Don't hold back. Share your opinion with your group of people. Nobody should disrespect your opinion.

Update remark: Speak up. Share your thoughts. Share your suggestions. If the group of people denounces you, then find another group.

A good example of two people with two extreme opposite opinions is VERY FUNNY Siskel & Ebert movie review "Brain Candy" 1996. Siskel loved Brain Candy. Ebert hated Brain Candy.

2. There Is More Than One Way Home (Mar 02, 2014). Commuters should know multiple routes to and from work and home in case of accidents or road closures.

Update remark: Today's workplace some people are no longer concern about commutes because of hybrid work schedules, permanent work-from-home, or being laid off.

3. The Most Likely Good Time At Any Convention Rule (Jun 06, 2013). The convention attendee is responsible for having a good time.

Update remark: An attendee can't control how a convention is organized. The worst case scenario is the attendee leaves a poorly organized convention.

4. Accutane Day 135 (Jun 18, 2009). My face experienced virus warts which was a side effect. My dermatologist prescribed Aldara.

Update remark: I need another Accutane like treatment. The year is 2023. My intuition tells me there are better treatments than Accutane.

5. Washington Canada 2008: Prologue (Jan 20, 2009). The introduction for my Washington Canada 2008 vacation. Vacations planned correctly are a great life time out.

Update remark: The vacation is number 9 in my Top 40 Most Memorable Moments written on Sep 27, 2016.

6. Streaks Of Imperfection (Mar 04, 2011). I experienced a streak of bad luck, bad timing, and bad circumstances.

Update remark: Nobody cares. Blame nobody. Blame life. Move on. Move forward.

7. This Week With Raymond Mar (Jun 19, 2009). I blogged all the events during the plain week.

Update remark: No need to click on the link. The blog was about my De Anza classes, Accutane treatment, anime, video games, books, and music. I tried to do everything which was rationally impossible.

8. De Anza Week Jan 11, 2010 (Jan 16, 2010). I blogged another Winter Quarter 2010 week.

Update remark: I feel sorry for college students who can't afford either a desktop or a laptop. I believe the computers in colleges are subpar compared to students who can afford their own computer. Also, I should have dropped Beginning Singing class.

9. You Need The Correct Attitude? (Jan 21, 2006). I blogged a common dating advice, "What's the worst that can happen--he or she says [no]."

Update remark: A person can increase the chances he or she says yes by being a stronger person.

10. Throwback Blog: I Remember These Tragedies Forever (Jan 30, 2019). I remembered where I was when I heard about the tragedies: Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting, Michael Jackson died, Hurricane Katrina, 9/11, Columbine shooting, Operation Desert Storm, and the Loma Prieta earthquake.

Update remark: No more all major networks' breaking news for mass shootings after the Sandy Hook Elementary School shooting.

Update On A Past Blog

I want to add parallel parking to the list of My Parents Raised My Correctly written on Feb 15, 2015. Some of today's cars include self-parallel parking. I have seen more drivers fail at parallel parking. The drivers are forced to drive away from the open parking spot because he or she holds back traffic. My dad taught me parallel parking. He constructed vertical wooden stands to mimic cars parked between the open parking spot. The old skill is a valid life skill today.

I also add my mom teaching my siblings and I don't eat candy, instant foods, sugary cereals, frozen foods, fruit juices, and donuts when we were children. Avoiding the bad food habits continue today. All of the processed junk foods mentioned are consumed in the rare special occasions.

Accutane Day 4,336

My face continues to get more spots which I call freckles or life marks. The common slang is life marks. I use Burt's Bee lip balm when my lips are dried. No facial cream applied to my face in the Fall 2020 and Winter 2021 months.

My face looks handsome after every shave. Some of my pores or acne scars disappear after every shave in the morning. The evening the pores or acne scars reappear. Maybe my eyes are deceiving me. I don’t know why.

I want another Accutane treatment because bumps are reappearing on both sides of my face near my ears. I wait for full medical coverage to pursue treatment. There must be new treatments today compared to 2009.

Ten Random Blogs Jul 2020

Here are ten random blogs in order of randomly chosen. The restriction is the blog dates Dec 31, 2018 and earlier. 2019 blogs are A Second Look blog in Dec 2020. I include a brief description and an update remark.

1. One, Two, Three (Feb 13, 2007). I blogged three topics. The first blog was visiting a friend's apartment for the first time. My friend and her husband at the time were sci-fi fans. I saw the biggest sci-fi collection in my life consisting of DVDs, figurines, board games, and books. I arrived home thinking about time and their sci-fi collection. If I spent more time on sci-fi and anime, then I had a bigger collection.

Update remark for the first blog: I'm happy and I'm fortunate my anime and sci-fi collection didn't reach my friend and her husband at the time biggest sci-fi collection. There is more to life than watching television. I retired from anime in Sep 2014. I sold 50% of my DVDs, 67% of my books, and 90% of my toys on eBay from 2015-2018 and at swap meets from 2008 to 2012. My time away from anime and sci-fi collection were spent wisely.

The second blog was all families have problems. My family had been consistently late to engagements. I compared my family's lateness problem to other family problems. Being late was not a family problem worth making a big deal.

Update remark for the second blog: My family continues to be late. Sometimes my family and I make a big deal. Sometimes my family and I don't make a big deal.

The third blog was keep our residence clean. It was hard to keep the house clean because my parents were hoarders. The minimum was organization. Maintain organization to maximize keeping the house as clean as possible.

Update remark for the third blog: My parents continue to be hoarders. I do my best to keep the house clean which is a challenge.

2. The Second Pics From My Smart Phone (Jun 29, 2012). I purchased my first smart phone in Jul 2011. I started to blog pics from my smart phone. Here's the second batch of pics.

Update remark: I continue to blog pics from my smart phone.

3. Another Batch Of Pics (Sep 13, 2012). Another blog with pics from my first smart phone.

Update remark: I continue to blog pics from my smart phone.

4. Accutane Day 236 (Sep 29, 2009). I started taking Accutane on Feb 5, 2009. The dermatologist said Accutane shrinks the oil glands to prevent acne and blackheads; however, I continued getting acne and blackheads. The dermatologist gave me an option to double to dosage from 20mg to 40mg for which he discouraged doubling. There was no timeline when I stopped taking Accutane.

Update remark: I eventually doubled my dosage because acne and blackheads continued. The dermatologist said there are cases patients undergo a second round of Accutane treatment. I may need another acne and blackhead treatment because marks on my face which disappeared after Accutane treatment are reappearing again.

5. Top Ten Moments Wearing My Braces (Sep 2, 2009). I blogged my top ten moments I wore braces from Jan 24, 2007 to Aug 17, 2009 totaling 936 days.

Update remark: Wearing braces helped me look handsome with a perfect smile. Nine of the top ten are in my Top 40 Most Memorable Moments written on Sep 27, 2016.

6. My Spirituality Discovery (Jan 11, 2015). I have two spiritual practices. The first practice is sleeping eight hours a night. The second practice is reading my personal bible once a week.

Update remark: I have a confession. I wrote a blog Why Do I Pray? on Aug 3, 2014. I answered I pray reading my personal bible once a week to remember the mistakes I made. Don't repeat my mistakes. My guess is I stopped praying once a week at the end of 2018. The result has been my productivity increased. The last two times I prayed was during the week of National Day Of Prayer in May 2019 and May 2020.

7. Life Goes On (Sep 23, 2017). I reminded myself and my readers the world didn't come to an end. Life moves forward for better or for worse.

Update remark: The blog applies to today's COVID-19 life.

8. A Full Week (Jan 12, 2006). I prepared to take a night class on how to write a business plan at De Anza College.

Update remark: I should have dropped the class. The class was a waste of time. Conversely, I dropped Beginning Japanese in Spring Quarter 2009 which was moment number two in my Top Ten Moments Wearing My Braces. Dropping Japanese didn't make my Top 40 Most Memorable Moments.

9. Go Get My Life (Jan 31, 2015). I remember one day as a senior in high school I was in the library with a classmate. I was depressed. I said, "I need a life." She said, "Then go get it." I understood the meaning decades later. Don't take life for granted. I'm lucky I discovered I must earn my successes. I'm lucky I discovered I must never stop learning.

Update remark: The classmate was a junior named Thanh. She played volleyball on the varsity team. She hung around the library with me during the lunch hours consistently. I wonder if she liked me.

Six days a week I'm doing my best to earn my successes. My personal projects are reviewing Excel and SQL; learning Python and Git; and learning life skills such as basic land navigation with a compass, Morse Code, and make paper airplanes. I exercise four or five days a week. I minimize eating processed foods. I read books, write blogs, and cook.

10. I Live To Reach The 90 Club (Jul 21, 2011). My grandmother on my dad's side was my oldest living grandparent. She died at 90 years old. Her mind was sharp at an old age. She didn't have Alzheimer's disease. Unfortunately, my grandfather on my dad's side died from Alzheimer's. I vow to keep my mind sharp to minimize my chances from getting Alzheimer's disease. I vow to keep my mind sharp to maximize my chances living at least 90 years old.

Update remark: I refer to the update remark at number 9 Go Get My Life. Use it or lose it. Use my brain or lose my brain. Use my knees and elbows or lose my knees and elbows; in other words, exercise. I'm not going to be an old fuck.

Accutane Day 3,682

I might as well kill two birds with one stone. The first is update my face years after my Accutane treatment was completed. The second is update my face 10 years later or the 10 year looks challenge.

My face neither improved nor worsen significantly. I still have an acne scar above my forehead. My hairline continues receding. I may need another Accutane treatment because bumps are reappearing on the left side of my face near my left ear. I wait for full medical coverage to pursue treatment. I stopped going to my dermatologist due to a medical insurance error.

I apply Ponds facial cream when my face dries up in the daytime. The CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM I purchased in 2011 still works. I apply the CeraVe when my face dries up before bedtime. I use Burt's Bee lip balm when my lips are dried. Vanilla and Pomegranate are my favorite flavors.

My face sweats easily. Accutane worked. My face rarely sweated before Accutane. Maybe my body changed for which I'm heat sensitive my face sweats significantly. Maybe Accutane was a coincidence.

I lost 25 pounds since April 2017. My highest weight averaged 188 pounds. I'm currently 163 pounds. My face shows the weight loss.

Finally, I'm getting more spots which I call freckles on my face. There is a dermatology medical term for the spots. I forgot the medical term. A common slang is life marks. A human gets more life marks as he or she ages.

Accutane Day 2,713

My annual checkup was on Mon Jan 18, 2016. I requested the dermatologist for minor surgery to remove two bumps on my face. The first bump was below my left eye and the upper midface region. The second bump was on my temporal region to the left of my right eye. The dermatologist said minor surgery was not needed. The bumps could be removed by zapping with electric shock.

The zapping treatment was cosmetic surgery performed after my annual checkup. There was preparation applying a cream on the two bumps. There was an option of injecting a liquid to minimize pain from the shock. I said the injection wasn’t needed. The zapping broke open the bumps breaking apart the oils as explained in lament terms. Scars appeared after the cosmetic surgery. The dermatologist gave me a sample size bottle of Celacyn gel to speed up the scar healing. I applied the gel three times since Jan 18. The pic above shows the first scar remains. The second scar is completely healed.

There is a third bump on my forehead above my right eye clearly shown. It looks like cosmetic surgery can remove the bump. I delay the zapping treatment because money is tight. I have no reason to get the treatment immediately.

I mentioned in past Accutane blogs my acne scars have been healing. The acne scars stopped healing months ago. I see no more areas of my face clear of acne scars after I shave. I see less dead skin on my razor. My nose still has the occasional blackheads and whiteheads.

I stopped applying Tretinoin cream because money is tight. I can’t afford another tube. The dermatologist recommended Epionce Lyric Tx cream for which she gave me samples bottles. I apply the Epionce Lyric Tx every three days on my nose, my cheeks where the acne scars are, forehead, and temporal regions. The Epionce seems to be working. Acne appearing on my face continues to be rare.

Finally, I asked the dermatologist about my callus on my feet. The dermatologist recommended Kamea G exfoliating foot cream. The cost was $20 for a 4oz tube. Expensive. I gave it a try. The dermatologist told me to apply two times a day. The second time was applied at night before going to sleep. I wore socks after I applied the foot cream. The foot cream combined with the pumice stone removing callus worked. I discovered there are cheaper foot creams in drug stores. I try a cheaper foot cream when I’m out of Kamea G. I stopped applying Kamea G during the summer because wearing socks at night kept me too warm. In the meantime, I remove callus with the pumice stone only.

Accutane Day 2,175

I choose to use my photo I posted on Sat Dec 27, 2014. Click here to view my Accuntane Day 2,151 blog.

I visited my dermatologist on Mon Jan 19 for my annual checkup. Everything was good. I was asked for a full body exam meaning a full skin examination. I didn't need the examination. I asked if there are any new creams. The dermatologist said no for my needs. Tretinoin is my best exfoliate topical cream which I started applying Sun nights instead of Thur nights. My acne scars continue to heal. There have been no acne outbreaks. My face continues clearing up especially the acne scar on the top of my forehead.

I continue to believe my changing hormones and shaving contributes to my clearing face. I shave three days a week using a razor shaving with the grain and against the grain. My shaving has been removing more dead skin.

The dermatologist asked about my dermatitis on my hands. I informed her I switched my moisturizer from Vanicream to Nivea. She was shocked because her medical office recommends Vanicream since it contains no additives, dyes, and fragrances. I use Nivea Extended Moisture Body Lotion 48 hour. Vanicream resulted in bumps the color of my skin. I use Cortisone instead of Desoximetasone ointment for topical treatment. Cortisone is weaker than Desoximetasone; however, it's much cheaper. Finally, she encouraged me to maintain moisturizing my hands to avoid getting sick. She said dry cuticles attract viruses causing illness. Interesting.

Accutane Day 2,151

I purchased a new tube of Tretinoin on Aug 25, 2014. I continue to apply the cream every Thurs night. I have been inconsistent applying the once a week cream on a Fri, Sat, or Sun night recently. It seems my face continues to improve. There is additional acne scar improvement on my right cheek. The scars are disappearing. The acne scars on my left cheek is starting to improve. The acne scar on top of my forehead is disappearing. The blackheads appear less frequent on my nose. And a combination of acne scars and blackheads on both sides of my face next to my eyes are healing and appear less frequent. The summary is my face is clearing up.

My dermatologist said my scars are not supposed to heal. Why are my scars healing? My two guesses are Tretinoin is working and my hormones are changing such that no more teenage acneface problems. A third guess is shaving. I shave three days a week using a razor. Perhaps, my shaving is removing more dead skin recently.

Speaking of shaving, I notice more facial hair appearing on the acne scars area. I anticipate more new facial hair spots throughout my face.

I have been sweating profusely after working out at the gym. My forehead becomes a rain cloud dripping drops of sweat everywhere on my face. I rarely sweat on hot days decades ago. I handled the heat very well when I was a child. Sweat appeared in my hair on top of my head only. I believe Accutane and Tretinoin open pores on my forehead.

Accutane Day 1,809

I used about 33% of Tretinoin since around Feb and Mar 2013. I applied the facial cream once a week. The blackheads and whiteheads continue on my nose and cheeks. No acne flare ups. There was one acne every two or three months. I continue the routine applying Tretinoin once a week.

Tretinoin is powerful. My dermatologist said the facial cream was like peeling my skin. My tube's expiration date is Aug 2014. He said I can continue using beyond the expiration date because expiration dates are approximations from the FDA. The cream strength is 95% after the expiration date. He gave me a prescription if I want a refill in Aug. Prescriptions are valid for one year.

I asked my dermatologist two questions. The first question was freckles. He told me freckles are temporary sun spots. They disappear eventually. I asked him the freckles question because I thought I received more freckles on my entire body from head to toe. I showed him my left arm and left leg the black spots I thought were freckles. I was wrong. The black spots are moles. I asked him how moles appear. He explained confusedly with medical jargon. I followed up the mole question with the same black spots I see in older people. He called those moles "age marks."

My second question was my acne scars on my cheeks. It seemed the scars are healing; in other words, my cheeks are clearing up to be smooth. My dermatologist was surprised. He said as we age, our faces experience something negative. I didn't quite understand to explain in detail. The bottom line was my dermatologist didn't give me a clear answer. He said it was great if I'm correct my acne scars are healing. They were not supposed to heal.

I posted a pic above. I should find time to compare past Accutane blogs I posted my face.

Accutane Day 1,518

My dermatologist prescribed my Tretinoin in Dec 2012. I stopped using Ziana. His instruction was apply Tretinoin nightly before bedtime.

I stopped applying Tretinoin for the last three weeks. The very dry weather caused dryness on my skin. I experienced face redness four weeks ago because I applied Tretinoin three times. Fortunately, I experienced one acne. The blackheads and whiteheads continue on my nose and cheeks. No flare ups.

I started applying Tretinoin once or twice a week yesterday. It's hard to establish a consistent schedule because I can't apply Tretinoin when my face is too dry. I don't want to apply Tretinoin on two consecutive days.

Accutane Day 1,300

I went to my dermatologist on Thur Aug 9 for my yearly routine appointment. I stopped using Atralin in July because it dried my skin on my face. The dry summer also caused my dryness. I started using Ziana which is a milder gel to control my acne and blackheads. I apply Ziana three days a week. My dermatologist said it was better to apply the milder Ziana three times instead of applying Atralin two days a week.

I applied Vanicream on my face when my face is dried. My dermatologist suggested I discontinue Vanicream and apply CeraVe Facial Moisturizing Lotion PM. Vanicream clogs my pores. It's okay my skin is dried and chapped as long as there is no irritation and itchiness. I apply the CerVe lotion to relieve those symptoms.

Acne appeared on my face two or three times this year. That's really good. I have been experiencing blackheads and whiteheads flare-ups. I believe a significant cause is the food I eat at restaurants. I have been eating out more often. I hope applying Ziana three days a week reduce the flare-ups.

Accutane Day 1,174

I choose to post the picture above to remind myself what razor burns look like. It was the first time I had razor burns. Change your blades when appropriate. Razor burns sting. If you don’t know what razor burns look like, look at my face. My razor burns are located below my right and left cheeks and above the jaw bone, and at the bottom center of the picture.

I apply Atralin two times a week before I sleep on the night before I shave. I wash my face before I shave. I don’t want any remaining Atralin gel on my face when I go outdoors.

I had one pimple in 2012. It was located under my chin. I learned pimples can appear anywhere in a person’s body—anywhere, including our genitals. Our entire body is skin. I got pimples on my ear, on top of my head, and at my back in my teens and 20s. The worse pimples were on my nose. They were ugly.

Finally, I have been getting more freckles all over my body. The additional freckles appear mostly on my face, chest, and arms. I don’t know why more freckles appear. My guess is I’ve been going outdoors more. I think there are more possibilities. The trend started in the middle of 2011.

Accutane Day 883

Who you see is who I am. I forgot the last time I applied Atralin on my nose and cheeks and Topicort to treat eczema. It seemed I apply Atralin resulting in eczema most of the time especially under low humid conditions, and I apply Topicort to treat eczema. In other words, one cream almost guaranteed I needed the second cream. That made no sense.

There has been neither no improvement nor worsening on my face. I had maybe one or two. Accutane worked to stop acne outbreaks. I apply Vanicream when my face is dry. I pop blackheads on my nose once a month. I may apply Atralin again on my nose only in the future.

Accutane Day 705

Two weeks ago I purchased cheap store-brand bread. The bread was on sale and it was a way to save money. Unfortunately, I got three pimples. I stopped eating the bread. Days later, the pimples disappeared. This was another example food is a factor regarding acne. The pimples told me I was allergic to the bread.

The cold and dry weather still affects my sensitive face. I continue to apply Topicort when eczema appears on my face. I also continue to apply Atralin on my nose nightly and on my face every three-four days depending if my face can handle Atralin and no eczema for the night.

My next check up is early February. As of now, there are no significant problems to mention. There has been no dermatitis breakout. I apply Vanicream nightly.

Accutane Day 592

I’m happy the cyst is removed. My face looks better. One of my stitches came off three days after my surgery. I was told stitches today are biodegradable and stitches fall off when the skin is fully healed. That was a relief. I planned to make an emergency appointment after Labor Day weekend. It was unnecessary.

I went to my follow up appointment. My dermatologist gave me the laboratory report. The report said my cyst was not a cyst. There was “mild cystic dilatation. There is no evidence of malignancy.” The report further states a congenital origin and other medical terms I don’t understand. My dermatologist inspected the cheek, removed the stitches, took a final look, and said everything is good. The blood cots showing on my skin heal in six months.

My eczema appears on my face occasionally. I apply Topicort to the eczema. I apply Atralin on my nose every day and on my cheeks every other day. It appears I’m more sensitive to Atralin than I thought.

Accutane Day 571

I have a bandage on my right cheek because I had minor surgery. The surgery removed my cyst that was on my cheek for a long, long time. Today I can’t wash my face. Tomorrow I remove the bandage and apply a new bandage with Neosporin. The surgery took 15 minutes. I have another appointment to remove the stitches.

Before surgery my dermatologist was casual explaining the side effects; for instance, infection, another cyst appearing, and scars. The probability is less than 5%. He wrote the side effects on my chart and made me sign it to consent. He was very casual as if there’s no worry at all. I also consented my cyst is sent to a laboratory. I asked him the reason. His response was the cyst proved the surgery happened and my insurance compensates him for the procedure. I questioned his response for a minute and then I stopped worrying about it.

I had another outbreak of eczema on my cheeks last Sat. I believe the reason was ice skating. I’m taking ice skating lessons and my face is sensitive to the cold conditions. I apply Topicort to the affected areas and skip Atralin.

Accutane Day 551

I visited my dermatologist yesterday for a follow up. I have been applying the ointment Atralin on my cheeks, nose, and a small area directly center at the upmost part of my forehead. The dermatologist said Atralin is working and my skin is in good health.

I informed my dermatologist I have been getting eczema on my right and left temples. The last outbreak happened on July 11. I applied Topicort instead of Cutivate. Cutivate was too weak. The Topicort treated the eczema in two to three days. She said if another outbreak happens, I use Cutivate first. My face is prone to sun and wind. I wear a hat when I go outdoors.

Topicort is an ointment to keep my glands small. The ointment doesn’t cure my blackheads and whiteheads. If I want both removed, I need laser surgery which my dermatologist doesn’t recommend. There are stronger dosages. My ointment dosage is mild. There are some people who take Topicort for a long time as maintenance to keep their pores in check.

My next appointment is Mon Aug 30. My dermatologist removes the cyst on my right side of my face on the bottom side of my cheeks. I cut the cyst in the middle of July while I shaved. Blood and an oily substance oozed out.

I get small spots of dermatitis on my hand when I wash dishes without dishwashing gloves. Otherwise, since I stopped taking Accutane, I don’t get dermatitis. Topicort removes my dermatitis between two to five days. I apply Vanicream when my hands feel dry.

One final note. Today there are more treatments for acne: over-the-counter medications, infomercials, prescribed creams and drugs, and laser surgery. There was much less acne treatments in 2005. I applied an ointment and a cream daily from 2005-2009. The topicals were Tazorac and Benzoyl Peroxide. The topicals kept my acne in check; although I occasionally got acne once a month. I made the correct choice to take Accutane. Accutane worked. I take Accutane once a week in addition to applying Topicort.

Accutane Day 442

Sigh! That's what I look like waking up in the morning and not shaving :{}

I eat at De Anza College cafeteria when I have no lunch from home. Yesterday was the last day I eat in the cafeteria. I'm tired of the greasy food. I got a small pimple on the left side of my lower lip last night. My dermatologist said some people are prone to greasy food. It's a myth food doesn't affect a person's face. Avoiding greasy food for my health and for my face are good reasons.

I met a student in one of my classes who just got braces. She also has an acne problem. We small talked. I shared my experiences and how long I wore her braces. She has been eating sold food. I was surprised because I ate food from a blender for about a week after I got my braces. I thought she may be taking acne medication at the same time she wears braces. I did both starting in Feb '09.

I continue applying Atralin before I sleep. I have been getting Eczema below my right eye. I apply Topicort instead of Cultivate. I know I can't use Topicort because it's too strong. Cultivate is not strong enough. Topicort treats my Eczema between two to four days.

Sometimes I see improvement on my blackheads and whiteheads and sometimes I see them worsen. Today, they worsen. It must be the chicken nuggets and french fries yesterday. It takes at least four months to see improvements. I took Accutane for 12 months, six months beyond the average person. I'm confident I see improvement with Atralin. I must wait.

Accutane Day 420

I'm 60% optimistic the Atralin gel removes my blackheads and whiteheads. Maybe my eyes are tricking me. I see a little improvement on my cheeks. The blackheads covering my cheeks are decreasing. My dermatologist said there are people who live with blackheads and/or whiteheads throughout their life. It's all genetics.

I went to the dentist yesterday. My hygienist suggested I use Burt's Bee for my dried lips. I use Blistx that works well. Maybe Burt's Bee is better. I try it. There are days my lips are great and there are days my lips are chapped. I take Accutane once a week. I don't think Accutane is causing dry lips. It must be the recent dry weather.

I have another Eczema outbreak. This time it's on my right cheek just below my right eye. I apply Cutivate. I'm also getting minor Dermatitis outbreak on my hands. I apply Topicort.

My face is getting more sensitive to the sun. My face starts to sting even when I go shopping for the day. I must apply sunscreen for long periods I'm outdoors during the day. I wear an Indiana Jones like hat for casual outdoor activities such as running errands.

Accutane Day 383

I was sick last week. It was hard concentrating on mid-terms and homework. Accutane and Atralin were on the back of my mind.

I started applying Atralin on my nose and my cheeks last night. Atralin is a soft gel. The gel treats my whiteheads on my nose disappear. The gel also treats the blackheads on my cheeks. I apply a small amount of Atralin before I sleep. Applying a larger amount has no affect faster treatment and can cause redness, peeling, and pain.

I take Accutane twice a week. I took a pill before I ate breakfast.

I have eczema on my lower left of my face. I apply Cultivate to treat. I continue to monitor for more eczema.
